Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians, Jacksonville is located in northeast Alabama on Hwy 21 approximately 16 miles north of Interstate 20 between Birmingham, AL and Atlanta, Georgia. There are a few Civil War monuments in town, including a statue of Major John Pelham in the middle of the town square.
